If there are any Japanese speakers out there, we’d be delighted if you’d consider joining us (SSF and FLC) for this project. Recently, we’ve lost several translators to exams and/or Real Life ™ and/or boyfriends. In short, our need is dire at this point, because it will be difficult for us to continue without more translators. Requirements are as follows:
- Higher intermediate or (preferable) advanced Japanese fluency
- Must be able to easily follow conversational Japanese
- Will need to be available to the editors to clarify dialog and translation questions
- Good English abilities are desirable
Applicants will be given a test audio to translate. If you’re interested, or if you know anyone qualified and are willing to coerce/bribe/swindle them into lending us a hand, please email me (eclipsed.melon -at- gmail.com) or Springbok (springbok7 -at- hotmail.com).
urmmm… how’s the recruiting going? I read abt your situation on SSF’s board and it sounds pretty bad.. I would help but I hardly know Japanese and am learning french. My sis is learning japanese but i don’t think she’s able to help you since it’s not to the standard you guys specified. I really hope someone comes along.
I hope you find someone to help you guys out! I wish I knew japanese, then I would gladly help. Anyways, you´re doing a great job!
Translaters are hard to come by. This is the fifth anime I like, where subbers had trouble with translations and were put on hold.
If my japanese was up to scratch, I would definitely consider it, but my engineering course has to come first, but i’ve almost completed it.
Hopefully some1 helpful will pop around.
For those who don’t know, C1 and anim fansubs just posted saiunkokuII 15-17 recently.
u know ep 32 was released by Crystalis and DreaM a couple of days ago and their timin ep 33
is sweet secret subs and four leaf clover subs no longer active?
We are sorting ourselves out. A lot of the staff have suddenly had massive upsurges in other areas of our lives which mean that they have had to withdraw from the project. Most of the FLC staff have been affected this way, and some of the SSF staff as well. As things stand now, we are doing a “roll call” to verify exactly who is still able to continue with the project. As of this second, it looks like 7 of us are able to plow on (and we are waiting to hear from a few more people), and once we get the pending tasks redistributed and assigned to active staff I will post a further update.
I take it, forming another joint with C1 & Animanda is asking too much? At the moment they’ve released ep20, but the process is really slow.
It’s just another 19 episodes to go, and we can put this behind us.
Joining up with C1 wont help at all, No translators cant help 1 slow lazy person
still weird: joining means all translators leaving and not getting any updates about wtf is going on on both sides/sites…
